Simulation, not a diagnosis. Poisson sampling and fragment statistics are modelled. The 143 and 166 bp peaks are modelled values. Labs set their own fetal-fraction cut-offs, often about 2–4%, and calibrate Y-based estimates rather than using a fixed factor. A boy call depends on Y-detection controls and the lab's own rules.
